BS Rao – Basavaraju Sarweswara Rao, was one of the famous educationalist from Telugu native states. He established Sri Chaitanya educational institutions and revolutionized higher education system. Before Sri Chaitanya institutions, higher secondary students used to either study in State Inter colleges or move to other cities for IIT-JEE Coaching. BS Rao has made it easy for students to aim big and proudly flaunt their ranks to the world. Sri Chaitanya Educational institutions have been instrumental in the increase of engineers and medical students from Telugu states. BS Rao passed away at the age of 75, due to long illness.
His family members admitted him in the hospital has he complained about uneasiness. While doctors tried their best, BS Rao passed away taking treatment. His family members have stated that they will transfer his mortal remains to Vijayawada, his home town. BS Rao last rites will be held in Vijayawada, soon. BS Rao has touched many young students lives and gave wings to their dreams to fly high. He has been instrumental in combining tutorial system and regular classes under one roof. This helped several students to concentrate and achieve their goals without distractions.
While few students did report about increasing pressure, BS Rao conducted counselling to parents and students to study in stress-free environment. BS Rao and his wife started their career as doctors in England and Iran. They moved to India back in 1986 and started Sri Chaitanya Girls Junior College. With amazing results, they have expanded to nation wide. Now, Sri Chaitanya educational institutions run 321 Junior colleges, 322 Techno Schools and 107 CBSE schools, nation wide. It is a great loss for Educational industry to lose a visionary like BS Rao. Our condolences to their family and wish them strength in these difficult times.
